The CIHR involves a collaboration between three higher education institutions in Edinburgh, Queen Margaret University, The University of Edinburgh and Napier University and three NHS organisations NHS Lothian, Border and Lanarkshire. We will also be collaboarting with a wide range of other institutions in the UK and internationally.
The CIHR has three programmes of research
- Early years and parenting
- Improving the management of enduring conditions
- Maximising recovery from acute illness and trauma
The directors of the programmes of research are based in the higher education institutions and represent a broad range of interests of relevance to healthcare research.
We are very keen to work with practitioners, researchers and service users in the field of healthcare research. If you would like to contact us to ask for materials and/or be put on our data base please do so on
